RESUMO

Inadequate reference databases in RNA-seq analysis can hinder data utilization and interpretation. In this study, we have successfully constructed a high-quality reference transcript dataset, ZjRTD1.0, for Zoysia japonica, a widely-used turfgrass with exceptional tolerance to various abiotic stress, including low temperatures and salinity. This dataset comprises 113,089 transcripts from 57,143 genes. BUSCO analysis demonstrates exceptional completeness (92.4%) in ZjRTD1.0, with reduced proportions of fragmented (3.3%) and missing (4.3%) orthologs compared to prior datasets. ZjRTD1.0 enables more precise analyses, including transcript quantification and alternative splicing assessments using public datasets, which identified a substantial number of differentially expressed transcripts (DETs) and differential alternative splicing (DAS) events, leading to several novel findings on Z. japonica's responses to abiotic stresses. First, spliceosome gene expression influenced alternative splicing significantly under abiotic stress, with a greater impact observed during low-temperature stress. Then, a significant positive correlation was found between the number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) encoding protein kinases and the frequency of DAS events, suggesting the role of protein phosphorylation in regulating alternative splicing. Additionally, our results suggest possible involvement of serine/arginine-rich (SR) proteins and heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) in generating inclusion/exclusion isoforms under low-temperature stress. Furthermore, our investigation revealed a significantly enhanced overlap between DEGs and differentially alternatively spliced genes (DASGs) in response to low-temperature stress, suggesting a unique co-regulatory mechanism governing transcription and splicing in the context of low-temperature response. In conclusion, we have proven that ZjRTD1.0 will serve as a reliable and useful resource for future transcriptomic analyses in Z. japonica.

Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is linked to specific pathogenic mechanisms, yet its relationship with mitophagy and ferroptosis is poorly understood. This study aimed to identify new biomarkers and explore the role of mitophagy and ferroptosis in ITP pathogenesis. Techniques such as differential analysis, Mfuzz expression pattern clustering, machine learning, gene set enrichment analysis, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and immune infiltration analysis were employed to investigate the molecular pathways of pivotal genes. Two-sample Mendelian randomization (TSMR) assessed the causal effects in ITP. Key genes identified in the training set included GABARAPL1, S100A8, LIN28A, and GDF9, which demonstrated diagnostic potential in validation sets. Functional analysis indicated these genes' involvement in ubiquitin phosphorylation, PPAR signalling pathway and T-cell differentiation. Immune infiltration analysis revealed increased macrophage presence in ITP, related to the critical genes. scRNA-seq indicated reduced GABARAPL1 expression in ITP bone marrow macrophages. TSMR linked S100A8 with ITP diagnosis, presenting an OR of 0.856 (95% CI = 0.736-0.997, p = 0.045). The study pinpointed four central genes, GABARAPL1, S100A8, LIN28A, and GDF9, tied to mitophagy and ferroptosis in ITP. It posits that diminished GABARAPL1 expression may disrupts ubiquitin phosphorylation and PPAR signalling, impairing mitophagy and inhibiting ferroptosis, leading to immune imbalance.

The vaginal microbiome's composition varies among ethnicities. However, the evolutionary landscape of the vaginal microbiome in the multi-ethnic context remains understudied. We perform a systematic evolutionary analysis of 351 vaginal microbiome samples from 35 multi-ethnic pregnant women, in addition to two validation cohorts, totaling 462 samples from 90 women. Microbiome alpha diversity and community state dynamics show strong ethnic signatures. Lactobacillaceae have a higher ratio of non-synonymous to synonymous polymorphism and lower nucleotide diversity than non-Lactobacillaceae in all ethnicities, with a large repertoire of positively selected genes, including the mucin-binding and cell wall anchor genes. These evolutionary dynamics are driven by the long-term evolutionary process unique to the human vaginal niche. Finally, we propose an evolutionary model reflecting the environmental niches of microbes. Our study reveals the extensive ethnic signatures in vaginal microbial ecology and evolution, highlighting the importance of studying the host-microbiome ecosystem from an evolutionary perspective.

Objective: To investigate the risk factors for the development of portal hypertension in patients with decompensated cirrhosis and analyze their prognosis. Methods: Patients with decompensated cirrhosis who were admitted to our hospital and Qu fu People's Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were included in this study. Among them, there were 45 male and 15 female patients, with a median age of 56 (range: 35-77) years. A comparative analysis was performed between Group A (hepatic venous pressure gradient, HVPG <16 mmHg) and Group B (HVPG ≥16 mmHg) patients, along with various clinical outcomes. Multivariate analysis was conducted to explore the risk factors influencing the occurrence of portal hypertension and adverse prognosis in patients with cirrhosis. Results: In Group A patients with portal hypertension, we observed lower levels of aspartate aminotransferase, laminin, serum hyaluronic acid, type III procollagen N-terminal peptide, total bile acids, and cholylglycine acid compared to Group B. On the other hand, levels of alanine aminotransferase, white blood cells, and serum albumin were higher in Group A than in Group B. These differences between the groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Multivariate analysis of the aforementioned risk factors indicated that low white blood cell count, high cholylglycine acid levels, and high serum hyaluronic acid levels were identified as independent risk factors for the occurrence of difficult-to-control complications in decompensated portal hypertension among patients with liver cirrhosis (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Liver cirrhosis patients with portal hypertension and multiple risk factors like low white blood cell count and high liver transaminase levels should be cautious regarding the progression of portal hypertension when combined with splenomegaly, liver fibrosis, and bile stasis, as it often indicates a poor prognosis.

Tuning the interfacial Schottky barrier with van der Waals (vdW) contacts is an important solution for two-dimensional (2D) electronics. Here we report that the interlayer dipoles of 2D vdW superlattices (vdWSLs) can be used to engineer vdW contacts to 2D semiconductors. A bipolar WSe2 with Ba6Ta11S28 (BTS) vdW contact was employed to exhibit this strategy. Strong interlayer dipoles can be formed due to charge transfer between the Ba3TaS5 and TaS2 layers. Mechanical exfoliation breaks the superlattice and produces two distinguished surfaces with TaS2 and Ba3TaS5 terminations. The surfaces thus have opposite surface dipoles and consequently different work functions. Therefore, all the devices fall into two categories in accordance with the rectifying direction, which were verified by electrical measurements and scanning photocurrent microscopy. The growing vdWSL family along with the addition surface dipoles enables prospective vdW contact designs and have practical application in nanoelectronics and nano optoelectronics.

We present an approach to estimate the operational distinguishability between an entangled state and any separable state directly from measuring an entanglement witness. We show that this estimation also implies bounds on a variety of other well-known entanglement quantifiers. This approach for entanglement estimation is then extended to both the measurement-device-independent scenario and the fully device-independent scenario, where we obtain nontrivial but suboptimal bounds. The procedure requires no numerical optimization and is easy to compute. It offers ways for experimenters to not only detect, but also quantify, entanglement from the standard entanglement witness procedure.

Carbon wet deposition and river carbon output in river basins are important components of global carbon cycle. The assessment of both properties is of great significance for regional carbon budget. However, research on these topics in high-latitude permafrost regions in China is still lacking. We conducted dynamic monitoring of carbon wet deposition and carbon output in the river from May 28th to October 30th, 2022, in Laoyeling watershed, a typical forested watershed in the Da Xing'an Mountains permafrost region. We analyzed the variations of carbon component concentrations and fluxes in precipitation and river water, and estimated the contribution of carbon wet deposition to carbon output in the watershed. The results showed that wet deposition fluxes of dissolved organic carbon (DOC), dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), and total dissolved carbon (TDC) in the Laoyeling watershed were 1354.86, 684.59, and 2039.45 kg·km-2, respectively. The fluxes of DOC, DIC, TDC, particulate organic carbon (POC), particulate inorganic carbon (PIC), and total carbon (TC) in the river were 601.75, 1977.30, 2579.05, 125.13, 21.99, and 2726.17 kg·km-2, respectively. The contribution of TDC wet deposition to the river TDC output was 9941.89 kg, accounting for 17.6% of total output. The DIC concentration in the river showed significant seasonal differences, with increased runoff resulting from precipitation leading to a decrease in DIC concentration in the river and showing a clear dilution effect, while the concentrations of DOC, POC, and PIC increased, mainly due to erosion effect. In conclusion, carbon wet deposition flux in the Laoyeling watershed was mainly determined by precipitation, and its contribution to river carbon output was relatively small compared to other factor. Runoff was the dominant factor affecting river carbon output. The results would provide important insights into carbon cycling and carbon budget balance in permafrost regions under climate change.

BACKGROUND: According to clinical data, a significant percentage of patients experience pain after surgery, highlighting the importance of alleviating postoperative pain. The current approach involves intravenous self-control analgesia, often utilizing opioid analgesics such as morphine, sufentanil, and fentanyl. Surgery for colorectal cancer typically involves general anesthesia. Therefore, optimizing anesthetic management and postoperative analgesic programs can effectively reduce perioperative stress and enhance postoperative recovery. The study aims to analyze the impact of different anesthesia modalities with multimodal analgesia on patients' postoperative pain. AIM: To explore the effects of different anesthesia methods coupled with multi-mode analgesia on postoperative pain in patients with colorectal cancer. METHODS: Following the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, a total of 126 patients with colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were included, of which 63 received general anesthesia coupled with multi-mode labor pain and were set as the control group, and 63 received general anesthesia associated with epidural anesthesia coupled with multi-mode labor pain and were set as the research group. After data collection, the effects of postoperative analgesia, sedation, and recovery were compared. RESULTS: Compared to the control group, the research group had shorter recovery times for orientation, extubation, eye-opening, and spontaneous respiration (P < 0.05). The research group also showed lower Visual analog scale scores at 24 h and 48 h, higher Ramany scores at 6 h and 12 h, and improved cognitive function at 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h (P < 0.05). Additionally, interleukin-6 and interleukin-10 levels were significantly reduced at various time points in the research group compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Levels of CD3+, CD4+, and CD4+/CD8+ were also lower in the research group at multiple time points (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: For patients with colorectal cancer, general anesthesia coupled with epidural anesthesia and multi-mode analgesia can achieve better postoperative analgesia and sedation effects, promote postoperative rehabilitation of patients, improve inflammatory stress and immune status, and have higher safety.

In order to explore the status of soil heavy metal pollution and environmental quality in west Hunan, relevant areas of Phoenix County were selected as the study area. Using data from 440 soil samples collected in the study area from June to August 2022, the pH value of the soil and contents of eight heavy metal elements, namely, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, and Zn, were analyzed. The PMF model was used for traceability analysis and geochemical evaluation of soil environmental quality. The results showed that the average values of soil heavy metals ω(Zn), ω(Cr), ω(Pb), ω(Ni), ω(Cu), ω(As), ω(Cd), and ω(Hg) were 81.02, 64.67, 31.63, 29.27, 25.52, 9.93, 0.28, and 0.13 mg·kg-1, respectively. The soil in the study area was mainly weakly acidic, and the contents of the Cd and Hg elements were relatively high compared to the national soil background values and were highly variable. The contents of the Hg and Cd elements in forest land were higher than that in other land uses. The PMF model results showed that the contribution rates of heavy metal pollution sources in the study area were mining sources (37.4%), atmospheric sedimentation sources (7.7%), natural sources (41.1%), and agricultural activity sources (13.8%) and provided suggestions on pollution control measures according to the spatial distribution of the four types of pollution sources. Through the comprehensive assessment of soil environmental geochemistry, the study area was divided into three types of plots, namely, non-risk areas (94.27 km2), accounting for 76.38%; risk-controllable areas (27.45 km2), accounting for 22.24%; and high-risk areas (1.7 km2), accounting for 1.38%. This study provided data support for the prevention and control measures of land pollution in the research area, as well as the delineation of the prevention and control scope.

We report a new δ-chain hemoglobin (Hb) variant observed in a 5-year-old female living in Yulin, Guangxi, China. Capillary electrophoresis revealed splitting of the Hb A2 peak into two fractions (Hb A2 and Hb A2 variant), and the Hb A2 variant was also detected by high-performance liquid chromatography. However, it could not be detected using matrix-assisted laser desorption lonization-time of flight mass spectrometry. CD41-42 (-TCTT) heterozygosity was observed on the HBB gene by PCR and reverse dot-blot hybridization. Sanger sequencing showed a new transition (G > A) at codon 46 of the HBD gene, resulting in glycine changing to arginine. Based on the patient's place of residence, the new variant was named Hb A2-Yulin [δ46(CD5)Gly→Arg,HBD:c.139G > A].

The electrochemical reductive valorization of CO2, referred to as the CO2RR, is an emerging approach for the conversion of CO2-containing feeds into valuable carbonaceous fuels and chemicals, with potential contributions to carbon capture and use (CCU) for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Copper surfaces and graphene-embedded, N-coordinated single metal atom (MNC) catalysts exhibit distinctive reactivity, attracting attention as efficient electrocatalysts for CO2RR. This review offers a comparative analysis of CO2RR on copper surfaces and MNC catalysts, highlighting their unique characteristics in terms of CO2 activation, C1/C2(+) product formation, and the competing hydrogen evolution pathway. The assessment underscores the significance of understanding structure-activity relationships to optimize catalyst design for efficient and selective CO2RR. Examining detailed reaction mechanisms and structure-selectivity patterns, the analysis explores recent insights into changes in the chemical catalyst states, atomic motif rearrangements, and fractal agglomeration, providing essential kinetic information from advanced in/ex situ microscopy/spectroscopy techniques. At the end, this review addresses future challenges and solutions related to today's disconnect between our current molecular understanding of structure-activity-selectivity relations in CO2RR and the relevant factors controlling the performance of CO2 electrolyzers over longer times, with larger electrode sizes, and at higher current densities.

The immune environment in tumors is the key factor affecting the survival and immunotherapeutic response of patients. This research aimed to explore the underlying association between focal adhesion tyrosine kinase (FAK/PTK2) and cancer immunotherapy in 33 human cancers. Gene expression data and clinical features of 33 cancers were retrieved from the Cancer Genome Atlas Database. The immunotherapy cohorts included GSE67501, GSE78220, and IMVIGOR210, which were derived from the comprehensive gene expression database or from previous studies. Clinical parameters including patient age, gender, survival rate, and tumor stage were analyzed to evaluate the prognostic value of FAK/PTK2. FAK/PTK2 activity was detected by single-sample gene set enrichment analysis and used to compare the difference between FAK/PTK2 transcriptome and protein expression levels. To better understand the role of FAK/PTK2 in cancer immunotherapy, we analyzed its correlations with tumor microenvironment and with immune processes/elements (e.g., immune cell infiltration, immunosuppressants, and stimulants) and major histocompatible complexes. Potential pathways associated with FAK/PTK2 signaling in cancers were also explored. Correlations between FAK/PTK2 and 2 immunotherapeutic biomarkers (tumor mutation load and microsatellite instability) were studied. Finally, the 3 independent immunotherapy cohorts were used to study the relationship between FAK/PTK2 and immunotherapeutic response. Although FAK/PTK2 is not closely associated with age (13/33), gender (5/33), or tumor stage (5/33) in any of the studied human cancers, it has potential prognostic value for predicting patient survival. Consistency between FAK/PTK2 activity and expression exists in some cancers (3/33). Generally, FAK/PTK2 is robustly correlated with immune cell infiltration, immune modulators, and immunotherapeutic markers. Moreover, high FAK/PTK2 expression is significantly related to immune-relevant pathways. However, FAK/PTK2 is not significantly correlated with the immunotherapeutic response. Research on the immunotherapeutic value of FAK/PTK2 in 33 human cancers provides evidence regarding the function of FAK/PTK2 and its role in clinical treatment. However, given the use of a bioinformatics approach, our results are preliminary and require further validation.

The process of soil genesis unfolds as pioneering microbial communities colonize mineral substrates, enriching them with biomolecules released from bedrock. The resultant intricate surface units emerge from a complex interplay among microbiota and plant communities. Under these conditions, host rocks undergo initial weathering through microbial activity, rendering them far from pristine and challenging the quest for biomarkers in ancient sedimentary rocks. In addressing this challenge, a comprehensive analysis utilizing Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) was conducted on a 520-Ma-old Cambrian rock. This investigation revealed a diverse molecular assemblage with comprising alkanols, sterols, fatty acids, glycerolipids, wax esters, and nitrogen-bearing compounds. Notably, elevated levels of bacterial C16, C18 and C14 fatty acids, iso and anteiso methyl-branched fatty acids, as well as fungal sterols, long-chained fatty acids, and alcohols, consistently align with a consortium of bacteria and fungi accessing complex organic matter within a soil-type ecosystem. The prominence of bacterial and fungal lipids alongside maturity indicators denotes derivation from heterotrophic activity rather than ancient preservation or marine sources. Moreover, the identification of long-chain (>C22) n-alkanols, even-carbon-numbered long chain (>C20) fatty acids, and campesterol, as well as stigmastanol, provides confirmation of plant residue inputs. Furthermore, findings highlight the ability of contemporary soil microbiota to inhabit rocky substrates actively, requiring strict contamination controls when evaluating ancient molecular biosignatures or extraterrestrial materials collected.

BACKGROUND: Surgical intervention is advisable for both asymptomatic and symptomatic CCAM children. This study aims to compare and analyze the efficacy of thoracoscopic and Da Vinci robot-assisted procedures in the management of CCAM among pediatric patients. METHODS: The clinical data of 188 pediatric patients diagnosed with CCAM and admitted to the Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, from April 2019 to April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The Clavien-Dindo classification was employed for the systematic categorization of postoperative complications. RESULTS: The demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients were comparable between the two groups. Postoperative outcomes, such as the chest tube indwelling rate (92.6% vs 36.2%, p < 0.001∗), chest tube duration (2.0 (2.0-3.0) days vs 1.0 (1.0-2.0) days, p < 0.001∗), and length of postoperative hospital stay (6.0 (5.0-7.0) days vs 5.0 (5.0-6.0) days, p < 0.001∗), favored RATS over VATS. Additionally, there was no significant difference in complications between the two group, but the p-value is in a critical state. Ⅲa complications (mainly composed of postoperative thoracentesis procedures) manifesting as a higher rate in the RATS, nearly double that observed in the VATS. CONCLUSIONS: Robot-assisted thoracoscopic lung resection is demonstrated to be safe and feasible, with notable advantages in short-term postoperative clinical outcomes. Nevertheless, the practicality and long-term benefits of this technique necessitate further refinement and dedicated study. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: LEVEL III.

Amanita exitialis, a deadly mushroom found in eastern Asia, causes the highest death rates among all poisonous mushrooms in China. The aim of the present study was to develop an efficient, accurate, and user-friendly PCR-based method for identifying A. exitialis that could facilitate the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of associated food poisoning. A. exitialis-specific primers and probes were designed based on the internal transcribed spacer region variations of 27 mushroom species. Specificity was confirmed using conventional and real-time PCR for 23 non-target mushroom species, including morphologically similar and closely related species. Compared to conventional PCR, real-time PCR was more sensitive (detectable DNA concentration: 1.36 × 10-2 ng/µL vs. 1.36 × 10-3) and efficient (analysis time: 1 h vs. 40 min). Furthermore, the real-time PCR results could be immediately visualized using amplification curve analysis. The results present two robust PCR-based methods for A. exitialis identification that can facilitate food safety.

In the past studies, the resistance of magnetically controlled capsules running through the small intestine has been modeled assuming that the small intestine was a circular tube with a constant diameter. Peristalsis is an important character of the human gastrointestinal system, and it would result in some changes in the diameter of the intestine, meaning that the existing resistance models would no longer be applicable. In this paper, based on the assumption that intestinal peristalsis is actually a sinusoidal wave, a resistance model of the capsule running in the peristaltic intestine is established, and then it is validated experimentally. The model provides a realistic foundation for the optimization and control of the magnetically controlled endoscopy.

Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV), the most common congenital heart disease, is prone to develop significant valvular dysfunction and aortic wall abnormalities such as ascending aortic aneurysm. Growing evidence has suggested that abnormal BAV hemodynamics could contribute to disease progression. In order to investigate BAV hemodynamics, we performed 3D patient-specific fluid-structure interaction (FSI) simulations with fully coupled blood flow dynamics and valve motion throughout the cardiac cycle. Results showed that the hemodynamics during systole can be characterized by a systolic jet and two counter-rotating recirculation vortices. At peak systole, the jet was usually eccentric, with asymmetric recirculation vortices and helical flow motion in the ascending aorta. The flow structure at peak systole was quantified using the vorticity, flow rate reversal ratio and local normalized helicity (LNH) at four locations from the aortic root to the ascending aorta. The systolic jet was evaluated with the peak velocity, normalized flow displacement, and jet angle. It was found that peak velocity and normalized flow displacement (rather than jet angle) gave a strong correlation with the vorticity and LNH in the ascending aorta, which suggests that these two metrics could be used for clinical noninvasive evaluation of abnormal blood flow patterns in BAV patients.

Background: Congenital cataracts stand as the primary cause of childhood blindness globally, characterized by clouding of the eye's lens at birth or shortly thereafter. Previous investigations have unveiled that a variant in the V-MAF avian musculoaponeurotic-fibrosarcoma oncogene homolog (MAF) gene can result in Ayme-Gripp syndrome and solitary cataract. Notably, MAF mutations have been infrequently reported in recent years. Methods: In this investigation, we recruited a Chinese family with non-syndromic cataracts. Whole exome sequencing and Sanger sequencing were applied to scrutinize the genetic anomaly within the family. Results: Through whole exome sequencing and subsequent data filtration, a new mutation (NM_005360, c.901T>C/p.Y301H) in the MAF gene was detected. Sanger sequencing validated the presence of this mutation in another affected individual. The p.Y301H mutation, situated in an evolutionarily preserved locus, was not detected in our 200 local control cohorts and various public databases. Additionally, multiple bioinformatic programs predicted that the mutation was deleterious and disrupted the bindings between MAF and its targets. Conclusion: Hence, we have documented a new MAF mutation within a Chinese family exhibiting isolated congenital cataracts. Our study has the potential to broaden the spectrum of MAF mutations, offering insights into the mechanisms underlying cataract formation and facilitating genetic counseling and early diagnosis for congenital cataract patients.

Important forensic diagnostic indicators of sudden death in coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, such as acute or chronic myocardial ischemic changes, sometimes make it difficult to locate the ischemic site due to the short death process, the lack of tissue reaction time. In some cases, the deceased died of sudden death on the first-episode, resulting in difficulty for medical examiners to make an accurate diagnosis. However, clinical studies on coronary instability plaque revealed the key role of coronary spasm and thrombosis caused by their lesions in sudden coronary death process. This paper mainly summarizes the pathological characteristics of unstable coronary plaque based on clinical medical research, including plaque rupture, plaque erosion and calcified nodules, as well as the influencing factors leading to plaque instability, and briefly describes the research progress and technique of the atherosclerotic plaques, in order to improve the study on the mechanism of sudden coronary death and improve the accuracy of the forensic diagnosis of sudden coronary death by diagnosing different pathologic states of coronary atherosclerotic plaques.

Background: A prolonged length of stay (LOS) after surgery may result in higher hospital costs and hospital-acquired complications. This study aims to identify the risk factors associated with a prolonged hospital stay after robot-assisted thoracoscopic lung surgery for pediatric patients in the context of enhanced recovery after surgery. Methods: The data for this retrospective study were collected from pediatric patients undergoing robot-assisted thoracoscopic lung surgery. Patients were divided into two subgroups based on median postoperative LOS (Group I: LOS > median 5 days and Group II: LOS ≤ median 5 days). Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the potential factors associated with increased LOS. Results: This study included 241 patients, 71 (29.46%) with an LOS of >5 days. The proportion of older children was significantly higher in Group I than that in Group II (P=0.004). Patients in Group I were more likely to experience a longer duration of anesthesia and surgery (P<0.001). They also had significantly higher rates of pneumonia, pleural effusion, and liver function damage (P<0.05). Several factors were identified to be associated with an increased LOS after robot-assisted thoracoscopic lung surgery: age >6 years [odds ratio (OR) =3.214, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.464-7.502, P=0.004], surgery duration >100 min (OR =2.138, 95% CI: 1.296-4.387, P=0.005), intra-albumin (OR =13.778, 95% CI: 1.470-129.116, P=0.022), and blood loss >5 mL (OR =2.184, 95% CI: 1.082-4.409, P=0.029). Conclusions: The results revealed that older age, longer surgery duration, use of intra-albumin, and more blood loss predict longer postoperative hospital stay in pediatric patients with congenital lung lesions after robot-assisted thoracoscopic lung surgery.
